Everything changes when the right people focus on what matters most.
Flow State Found builds the operations behind creative businesses, starting with interior design studios, where the owner's taste and experience are what clients pay for.
What drives us
The fundamentals don't change.
The tools update. Why we focus, lead and learn stays the same.
Stay technology agnostic.
Don't let one company's shareholder value decide how you get information, communicate, make money or find joy.
We share the lens from the work.
Two decades running creative businesses, and years building agentic operations for small ones.
Be pragmatic about AI.
The edge is in small compounding wins: the hour reclaimed, the inbox triaged, the context 80% there when you sit down.
Make your fingerprint seen.
Your taste and specificity set you apart. Treat AI as a collaborator that needs supervision.
Where it started
In 2022 Michael Gilbride was running a growing interior design studio and didn't like that all the industry-standard software was closed to integrations and APIs, and he saw the future impact of LLMs on his project management. Accurate proposals were a significant investment in time away from project work, client views weren't easily customized, database records had to be built by hand and didn't relate to other software, and schedules were laborious to initiate and update.
Instead of paying more people to manage it, he built one to accomplish the above and automate onboarding to reporting. Other business owners started asking how. The studio, Michael Gilbride Design, is still a testing ground for emerging technologies.
How we work
A software migration has to be worth the transition cost before we suggest one.
Measure the baseline, estimate the opportunity, and check the outcome after launch.
Review and approval sit wherever a studio's reputation, client trust or money is exposed.
Everything is documented, so a system outlives the person who set it up.
We use AI every day for research, data capture, outlines and syncing systems. The analysis, the edits and the taste are ours, and the same standard applies to everything we build.
Open roles
We're building the team that does this work. Each role links to a short application, and every application is read by a person.
